JUST BE YOURSELF

You can live a lie, or a life that is true.
You can be like everyone, or just you.
You can blend in, or just stand out.
Being yourself is what life is all about.

The sooner you do this, the better it’ll be.
You shouldn’t wait until you are forty-three.
When you are yourself, you will always shine.
That is a life worth living, that is always sublime.

Sharing your life is what makes you complete.
You get to finally be happy, which is really neat.
You can go on vacation, to the movie, or to dinner.
When you do this, it is you that feels like a winner.

The frown you wore, will turn upside down.
You get to be yourself, no longer like a clown.
Your heart flutters, as you meet your other half.
You get to finally be happy and start to laugh.

Some people will think that it isn’t the life they choose.
That is fine, because they have nothing to lose.
They get to live their true life and you should too.
They do not have the right to treat you like poo.

Nobody wants to die unhappy and all alone.
That is the biggest regret, when you are grown.
So step out of the closet, do not even try to look back.
You can see the world, no longer through a door crack.
