REPLACING THE TURKEY

Habits that are hardest to break, always have a purpose.
When quitting these habits, they always come to surface.
Risk must exceed reward, creating validity, to finally quit.
Risks and rewards, will always make it easier, to commit.

A dog lying on a nail, remains until it can take it no longer.
Finally realizing that getting up, will make them stronger.
The amount of time always determines, the wound’s size.
Most already knew this, but for the dog, it’s a big surprise.

To any new outside observer, some things, are easily seen.
Residents of the town, were unaware, and didn’t intervene.
The blame isn’t with the residents, or observer, but the dog.
Refusing to get better by choosing, to be a bump on a log.

Hopefully the dog learned a lesson, but ours has just begun.
A habit is never changed, until all the bricks become a ton.
Habits are routines, that are just repeated, inside of our mind.
Some habits are good habits, while others, we need to rewind.

Behaviors that are repeated a lot, are done, without thought.
These continue to repeat, until it is the farm, that you bought.
It doesn’t have to be like this, the brain can always be rewired.
After repeated practice, you will get the outcome, you desired.

Quitting a bad habit like smoking, is certainly, very hard to do.
It’s not impossible, with a replacement behavior, in clear view.
Everyone has those behaviors or habits, that are considered bad.
The longer the habit developed, the more patience you must add.

With the right mindset and determination, the world is your clam.
Never let the overflowing current, obstruct you, from the damn.
It will never be easy, and the temptation to repeat, is even worse.
Never let the impulse of previous bad choices, be what you reverse.
