Feeling envy, is chosen as a deadly cardinal sin.
Being jealous, puts you back where you begin.
Envy is wanting what someone does possess.
Jealous is the intimation; of a lack of progress.
When comparing two, we don’t see the true.
We focus on what we’ll lack, or misconstrue.
Wanting what they have, them, just the same.
This give and take, becomes a judgment game.
When envy takes over, we only look at a result.
Never seeing the hard work, of the somersault.
Others’ success can be an inspiration or threat.
Only seeing attraction, wealth, or a giftless debt.
Any with beauty, fame, or skills should inspire.
Lean into inspiration instead of quit or retire.
Everyone will bring gifts to the inclusion table.
A diverse and inclusive team, are highly able.
Those who are jealous, worry about the erode.
Given the choice, they must use the grassy road.
Well worn paths, and highways, are for the norm.
Always having the choice to stand out or conform.
Never compare to others, only to yesterday’s self.
Making the choice, to improve your mental health.
Racing against yourself, just show up to succeed.
Making progress, with the effort to just proceed.
Regardless if you’ll fail or succeed, it is just a win.
A loss requires more effort, but a win creates grin.
Don’t destroy others, so you feel more important.
Understand we are all different but also congruent
