AWARE OF OUR AWARENESS

Self-awareness is something that starts with me, myself, and I.
It could be very limited, or it might be very heavy in its supply.
It is really about what sets us apart from the rest of the pack.
It will allow you to catch yourself, whenever you are off track.

Whenever you possess knowledge, you also possess great power.
You have the power to influence yourself at just about any hour.
Being aware of yourself and your life will put you at the very start.
You must discern your feelings, thoughts, and your actions apart.

Your emotions and feelings will alter your thoughts and actions.
These can spiral out of control like your reactions and interactions.
The things that were automatic, drift into your conscious thought.
These might be things that you can’t accept, or wish that you forgot.

In this psychological state, the attention is focused solely on yourself.
Focus on developing a self concept and improving your mental health.
You must really distinguish your own beliefs from others in the crowd.
You must ask yourself if you’re being true to yourself and can be proud.

Why would you try to fit in, when we were all destined to just stand out.
With great confidence and self-awareness, you’ll leave very little to doubt.
You become aware of your thoughts, behavior, and how it is that you feel.
Your intuitive awareness will guide your improvement, even if it isn’t ideal.

We spend so much time thinking about other people, that we drop the ball.
We compare ourselves to others, so that we might not appear so very small.
Blowing out someone else’s candle, will never really ignite your own flame.
Focus on yourself and your own locus of control, and you’ll never be the same.
